1. Transfer of the main mail system database from database server Data3 to Mail3 complete. This completes repairs to the mail system database server that suffered a catastophic failure in early September.
2. Conversion of the file system on the file storage server. This conversion was necessary because of the inefficient way that Microsoft Windows handles large directories. We have implemented alphabetic sorting and indexing of the file system to help speed up the webmail system.
3. Purge of old data to reduce overhead of file system. We will continue this process over the next few days. Performance will not be impacted, nor will the system need to be brought down to complete this process.
