Older versions of Outlook to our basic email system fails because of improper or unsupported protocols.

If you have Outlook 2010 or below and cannot connect to our basic email system, it may be because the older versions do not support TLS v1.2 which is required to connect.  This can be fixed by creating the following registry key:
