As part of our routine maintenance schedule, the mail system servers were taken down from 7:00am to 7:20am to install Windows security and other updates.
That glitch caused a number of emails to be duplicated. The problem has been repaired and the basic email system is working normally now.
1. Transfer of the main mail system database from database server Data3 to Mail3 complete. This completes repairs to the mail system database server that suffered a catastophic failure in early September.2. Conversion of the file system on the file storage server. This conversion was necessary because of the inefficient way that Microsoft Windows handles large directories.
